Pr\u00e4sident Nixon dr\u00fcckte dem Gesetz am 31. Dezember 1970 den formellen Stempel auf. Es ist wohl eine der revolution\u00e4rsten und vielversprechendsten Umweltentscheidungen, die jemals getroffen wurden. Vor seinem 50-j\u00e4hrigen Jubil\u00e4um haben wir uns daher entschieden, die Reise des Acts r\u00fcckblickend zu betrachten.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Das sp\u00e4te 20. Jahrhundert war Zeuge einer weltweiten St\u00f6rung des Umweltgleichgewichts. Die Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika haben weltweit Ma\u00dfst\u00e4be gesetzt, indem sie als eines der ersten L\u00e4nder den Umweltschutz in ihr gesetzliches Rahmenwerk aufgenommen haben. Die USA haben der wachsenden Besorgnis \u00fcber die Luftverschmutzung Rechnung getragen, indem sie vor 50 Jahren den Clean Air Act verabschiedet haben. Die kometenhafte Industrialisierung mit minimaler Regulierung in Verbindung mit der Urbanisierung forderte einen Tribut von der Luftgesundheit. Es f\u00fchrte auch zu einer Zunahme der Emphysem- und Asthma-Erkrankungen. Mitte des Jahrhunderts war die Luftqualit\u00e4t so stark gesunken, dass zahlreiche St\u00e4dte der USA zum Synonym f\u00fcr Smog wurden. Der unvorhergesehene und monstr\u00f6se Smog in Los Angeles, Kalifornien (1943) war ein solcher Vorfall, der die Beh\u00f6rden bis ins Mark ersch\u00fctterte. Auch die Todesf\u00e4lle durch Luftverschmutzung stiegen. Der New Yorker Smog von 1966, der f\u00fcr mindestens 169 Todesopfer verantwortlich war, schlug das ganze Land mit der brutalen Realit\u00e4t der Luftverschmutzung.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a class=\"dt-pswp-item\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pranaair.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/smog-in-LA.jpg\" data-dt-img-description=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14293\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pranaair.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/smog-in-LA.jpg\" alt=\"smog in LA\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1440\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pranaair.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/smog-in-LA.jpg 1333w, https:\/\/www.pranaair.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/smog-in-LA-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.pranaair.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/smog-in-LA-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.pranaair.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/smog-in-LA-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.pranaair.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/smog-in-LA-1536x1152.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Die zunehmenden Luftschadstoffe, insbesondere NO2 und SO2, haben auch das Auftreten von saurem Regen mobilisiert und beschleunigt. All diese Gr\u00fcnde gef\u00e4hrden die Gesundheit der Atmosph\u00e4re und der B\u00fcrger. Als Aufl\u00f6sung wurde 1970 der Clean Air Act ins Leben gerufen. Damit begann ein Verm\u00e4chtnis, das den Menschen in Amerika buchst\u00e4blich und im \u00fcbertragenen Sinne Leben eingehaucht hat. Die Beh\u00f6rden z\u00fcgelten die Industrien und versch\u00e4rften die Vorschriften im Jahr 1977. Sie nahmen weitere \u00c4nderungen am Gesetz im Jahr 1990 vor.<\/p>\n<p>Infolgedessen verbesserte sich die Luftqualit\u00e4t zum Zeitpunkt des Vorsto\u00dfes des Landes in das 21. Jahrhundert drastisch. Die Konzentrationen von SO2 und NO2 wurden unter Kontrolle gebracht, und es folgten strenge Beschr\u00e4nkungen f\u00fcr gef\u00e4hrliche Luftgifte. Ein Anstieg der Verschmutzungsgrade erh\u00f6ht die Nachfrage nach einem effizienten Luftqualit\u00e4tsmanagement und der Minderung von Gesundheitsgefahren auf eine Weise, die das Wirtschaftswachstum nicht behindert.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Konnte_das_Gesetz_in_Bezug_auf_die_Wirkung_alle_Kaestchen_ankreuzen\"><\/span><span style=\"background-color: #008000; color: #ffff99;\">Konnte das Gesetz in Bezug auf die Wirkung alle K\u00e4stchen ankreuzen? <\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Dieses Jahr markiert das 50. Jahr der Verabschiedung des Clean Air Act. Dieses Verm\u00e4chtnis von mehr als f\u00fcnf Jahrzehnten hat einige bemerkenswerte Ergebnisse hervorgebracht. Seine punktgenaue Umsetzung durch die US-Umweltschutzbeh\u00f6rde (EPA) f\u00fchrte zu einer deutlichen Reduzierung des Auftretens von saurem Regen. Die USA erreichten dieses Kunstst\u00fcck, indem sie die Konzentrationen von Luftschadstoffen drastisch reduzierten. So sanken beispielsweise die Stickoxid- und Ozonwerte in Los Angeles zwischen 1962 und 2012 um 70-80%. Der R\u00fcckgang der NO2-Werte katalysierte auch die Erhaltung der sch\u00fctzenden Ozonschicht.<\/p>\n<p>Die USA haben den Clean Air Act mit dem zentralen Ziel verabschiedet, die Konzentration sch\u00e4dlicher Schadstoffe zu reduzieren. Der Clean Air Act weist zahlreiche weitere gesundheitliche, \u00f6kologische und wirtschaftliche Vorteile auf. Laut US EPA hat der Clean Air Act bis 2020 \u00fcber 230,000 vorzeitige Todesf\u00e4lle verhindert. Die H\u00e4ufigkeit von Bronchitis und Asthma ist zur\u00fcckgegangen. Die Kohlenmonoxid- und Ozonwerte sind zwischen 1990 und 2018 um einen Faktor von 74% bzw. 21% gesunken. Die atmosph\u00e4rische Bleikonzentration ist seit 2010 um 82% zur\u00fcckgegangen. Diese Verringerungen spiegeln sich in der ges\u00fcnderen Bodenstruktur und den S\u00fc\u00dfwasserk\u00f6rpern wider , und Vegetation.<\/p>\n<p>Das Gesetz entlastete auch finanzielle Belastungen, die die Luftkrise verursacht hatte. Die EPA sch\u00e4tzt den Nutzen im Laufe der Jahre auf etwa 2 Billionen US-Dollar.<\/p>\n<p>Der Clean Air Act steht auch im Einklang mit sechs der siebzehn Ziele f\u00fcr nachhaltige Entwicklung.
