Qualquer perturba\u00e7\u00e3o f\u00edsica, qu\u00edmica ou biol\u00f3gica do ar pode ser considerada polui\u00e7\u00e3o do ar. Quando pensamos em polui\u00e7\u00e3o do ar, pensamos principalmente em danos aos seres humanos. Muitas vezes tendemos a esquecer o efeito da polui\u00e7\u00e3o do ar em plantas e animais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Efeito_da_Poluicao_do_Ar_nas_Plantas\"><\/span>Efeito da Polui\u00e7\u00e3o do Ar nas Plantas<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Os poluentes s\u00e3o absorvidos principalmente pelas plantas atrav\u00e9s de suas folhas. Tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 poss\u00edvel uma pequena penetra\u00e7\u00e3o nas hastes e no tronco. O poluente deve primeiro passar pela &#8220;camada de borda&#8221;. Corresponde \u00e0 camada de ar que n\u00e3o se agita em contato com ela, antes de atingir a folha. O tamanho e a estrutura da folha e a velocidade do vento influenciam na espessura dessa camada. Sua espessura est\u00e1 na faixa de d\u00e9cimos de mm. Ap\u00f3s a penetra\u00e7\u00e3o, a rea\u00e7\u00e3o fisiol\u00f3gica das plantas \u00e0 polui\u00e7\u00e3o do ar ser\u00e1 determinada por dois fatores:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Caracter\u00edsticas da planta<\/li><li>O tipo de polui\u00e7\u00e3o<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_Chuva_acida\"><\/span>1. <strong>Chuva \u00e1cida<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pranaair.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/acid-rain-droplets-plant-leaf.jpg\" alt=\"acid rain droplets plant leaf\" class=\"wp-image-25087\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pranaair.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/acid-rain-droplets-plant-leaf.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.pranaair.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/acid-rain-droplets-plant-leaf-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.pranaair.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/acid-rain-droplets-plant-leaf-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"\/?p=6877\">A chuva \u00e1cida, causada pela polui\u00e7\u00e3o do ar, torna a \u00e1gua e o solo mais \u00e1cidos. Quando se trata de plantas, a chuva \u00e1cida:<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Reduz o n\u00famero de nutrientes do solo acess\u00edveis<\/li><li>Danifica os sistemas raiz e broto<\/li><li>Crescimento de acrobacias<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Embora certas esp\u00e9cies de plantas e animais sejam tolerantes a mudan\u00e7as no pH, em um ecossistema conectado, isso pode interromper a cadeia alimentar e potencialmente eliminar uma esp\u00e9cie inteira.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Deplecao_do_Escudo_de_Ozonio\"><\/span>2. Deple\u00e7\u00e3o do Escudo de Oz\u00f4nio<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Afirma-se que plantas e animais morrem como resultado do processo de destrui\u00e7\u00e3o &#8220;indireta&#8221; da destrui\u00e7\u00e3o do oz\u00f4nio. Segundo uma pesquisa, o buraco na camada de oz\u00f4nio eliminou quase 30% das esp\u00e9cies de plantas. A maioria das plantas \u00e9 afetada pelo oz\u00f4nio (O3), que causa \u00falceras foliares. Ele tamb\u00e9m pode penetrar nos est\u00f4matos (orif\u00edcios respirat\u00f3rios das plantas) e decompor as c\u00e9lulas vegetais diretamente. O3 pode potencialmente levar ao crescimento prejudicado e, no pior cen\u00e1rio, \u00e0 morte. Dano moderado de oz\u00f4nio pode ser visto nas folhas de batata como manchas marrons. A radia\u00e7\u00e3o ultravioleta inibiu a fotoss\u00edntese, acelerou a evapora\u00e7\u00e3o e causou altera\u00e7\u00f5es gen\u00e9ticas nas plantas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Ozonio_ao_nivel_do_solo\"><\/span>3. Oz\u00f4nio ao n\u00edvel do solo<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A respira\u00e7\u00e3o das plantas \u00e9 inibida por mol\u00e9culas de oz\u00f4nio perto do solo. Eles obstruem as aberturas nas folhas onde ocorre a respira\u00e7\u00e3o. Uma planta n\u00e3o ser\u00e1 capaz de fotossintetizar se n\u00e3o respirar e, portanto, n\u00e3o poder\u00e1 crescer. Foi relatado em 2014 que a polui\u00e7\u00e3o do ar por carbono negro e oz\u00f4nio ao n\u00edvel do solo reduziu a produtividade agr\u00edcola nas \u00e1reas mais impactadas quase pela metade em 2011 em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com os n\u00edveis de 1980 nos distritos mais afetados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_Nitrogenio_Excessivo\"><\/span>4. Nitrog\u00eanio Excessivo<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>O nitrog\u00eanio \u00e9 um nutriente necess\u00e1rio para as plantas. Mas quantidades crescentes de deposi\u00e7\u00e3o de nitrog\u00eanio na atmosfera podem colocar os ecossistemas sob estresse. O excesso de nitrog\u00eanio funciona como um fertilizante. Isso beneficia algumas plantas enquanto coloca outras em desvantagem. Isso faz com que os ecossistemas naturais fiquem desequilibrados, com consequ\u00eancias a longo prazo, como:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Mudan\u00e7as nas esp\u00e9cies vegetais e animais<\/li><li>Um aumento no surto de pragas e doen\u00e7as<\/li><li>Perturba\u00e7\u00e3o dos processos do ecossistema, como ciclo de nutrientes e frequ\u00eancia de inc\u00eandios<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"5_Poluicao_do_solo\"><\/span>5. Polui\u00e7\u00e3o do solo<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Os metais pesados \u200b\u200be outros poluentes atmosf\u00e9ricos que se depositam no solo influenciam inicialmente o funcionamento das ra\u00edzes. Eles interferem na capacidade da planta de adquirir recursos do solo. A aquisi\u00e7\u00e3o reduzida de recursos ter\u00e1 um impacto no desenvolvimento da planta. Isso ocorre devido \u00e0s mudan\u00e7as na aloca\u00e7\u00e3o de recursos para v\u00e1rias estruturas da f\u00e1brica. A n\u00edvel ecol\u00f3gico, a polui\u00e7\u00e3o pode alterar o equil\u00edbrio competitivo entre as esp\u00e9cies presentes. Isso resulta em mudan\u00e7as na composi\u00e7\u00e3o das esp\u00e9cies vegetais. Comportamento animal alterado<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Poluentes foram mostrados em um n\u00famero crescente de estudos para causar comportamento estranho em animais. A biodiversidade \u00e9 importante para os animais, pois sua perda pode desencadear mudan\u00e7as na cadeia alimentar e a extin\u00e7\u00e3o de algumas esp\u00e9cies. Al\u00e9m disso, a perda de biodiversidade pode potencialmente aumentar o risco de doen\u00e7as infecciosas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_Mudanca_na_distribuicao_das_especies\"><\/span>4.
