Major Air Pollutants
When a theatre is packed, the air stops moving, and pollution particles build up in the enclosed space. As a result, movie-goers feel uneasy and unwell, and they visit less often. In short, the theatre loses money.
PM2.5
Fine dust and water droplets suspended in the air (2.5 microns in diameter)
CO2
CO2 levels exceed the desired CO2 limits at times when the air is not moving
TVOC
Fabric on the seating, wooden products, paints, and carpets
HCHO
Aerosol sprays, perfumes, and room fresheners are some of the potential sources
PM2.5
Carpet and clothing fibres, deterioration of the building
CO2
Respiration
TVOCs
Paints, carpets, and disinfectants
Who Is at Risk?
People of many ages may be in a theatre, but certain groups are hit far harder than healthy adults.
Respiratory Illness
Movie-goers and staff with lung or other illnesses already have weaker lungs and a weaker immune system.
Children
Children have growing organs, and exposure holds back the growth of tissue and cells.
Staff
Lower productivity, missed work days, and poor focus are some of the side effects of exposure.
Movie-Goers
Healthy adults may experience side effects such as headaches, dizziness, stuffiness, and nausea.
Air quality Solutions
Prana Air's air monitoring and air cleaning solutions give you the power to know what your customers and staff breathe, and what you can do to clean the air. You can make your theatre an 'air pollution-free zone,' then view and analyze your IAQ.
Data Freemium Services
The data can be displayed or analyzed on LCD screens or in the app through our customized dashboard. Scan the QR code to learn the AQI of the theatre.
