Light Scattering at a 90° Angle

The PAS-OUT-01 is a high-accuracy digital laser sensor made for industrial sites and ambient use. It comes with a built-in laser and a light-receiving module, so it tells PM10 and PM2.5 apart with precision. The sensor works on the 90° light scattering principle to give you reliable air quality data in all sorts of settings.

We offer high-performance sensors made for each type of setting, so you get the best air quality tracking and data you can rely on.
Pollutant Size Comparison

Particulate Matter (PM) is a complex mix of solid particles and liquid droplets that float in the air. We can breathe these pollutants in, and they can harm long-term health and wellbeing.

A Guide to Particulate Matter (PM)
Particulate Matter (PM) is grouped by particle diameter, with PM2.5 (fine particles) and PM10 (coarse particles) being the main markers used to track air quality.

Learn about different PM sizes
PM1
Ultrafine particles with a diameter of 1 micrometre or smaller. They can pass straight into the bloodstream and pose health risks across the body.
PM2.5
Fine particles smaller than 2.5 micrometres. These are small enough to reach deep into the lungs, which may lead to long-term health conditions.
PM10
Particles you can inhale with a diameter of 10 micrometres or smaller, including dust and pollen. They can irritate the airways and set off allergies.
Particle Count
This metric measures the total number of particles in the air, whatever their size. It gives you a full picture of the overall air quality in one number.
