Air PollutionHow to Improve Indoor Air Quality in Office

How to improve indoor air quality in office:

– Keep your air vents open

One of the ways to improve indoor air quality in the office is to always keep the air vents open and unblocked. If there is any furniture or pile of boxes that block the path of your air vents, then the air will not circulate properly. This could lead to poor air quality and health issues among the employees and staff.

– Regularly replace air filters

Over time, when there is too much dust and debris present in the air, the filters of your air conditioning system or air purifiers, get clogged. Regularly cleaning the air filters help. Replace the filters every 6-12 months of use.

– Maintain room temperature and humidity

Humidity must always be between 30-50 percent. This keeps the dust mites and allergens under control. Room temperature must also be in check as too much cold or hot temperature leads to mold growth in a closed living space.

– Add some plants

Plants add a pleasing and peaceful environment to the office. It also adds an aesthetic touch to the environment. Since they absorb toxins and produce oxygen, employees feel productive during their work hours.

– Keep your office clean

It is one of the important ways that need to be applied on how to improve indoor air quality in the office. Regularly vacuum and sanitize the desk, kitchen, and washroom. Deep cleaning the office furniture is also essential.
