Why Prana Air's Monitor or Sensor?
Covers All Sides of Air Quality
Prana Air's air quality sensors are low-cost and durable. They are accurate, responsive and energy efficient. They cover PM, toxic gases (CO, CO2, SO2, NO2 and more), HCHO, TVOCs, temperature, humidity, noise, light and more.

Prana Air Sensors
Our sensors are low-cost. Yet the data they give is highly accurate, even next to high-end equipment.
How Accurate Is Prana Air's PM2.5 Air Quality Data vs Very Costly Devices?
1st Case
With Prana Air PM Monitor
PM2.5 Data Set Against a High-End Instrument
We used a high-end device to correlate PM2.5 over a 30-minute window. This lets us see how accurate Prana Air's product is. We set its data next to a more costly product's.

2nd Case
With Prana Air PM2.5 Monitor
PM Data Accuracy Set Against the BAM
We ran a study with a high-end monitoring device (BAM). We compared its data with data from Prana Air's PM2.5 monitor. The aim was to test how accurate our low-cost monitor is. The study showed that the results from our PM2.5 monitor match those of the BAM very closely. This shows that our low-cost monitor is just as accurate and reliable.

Comparative Evaluation of Other Low-Cost PM Sensors
The graph below is from the research study report Comparative Evaluation of New Low-Cost Particulate Matter Sensors by IIIT, Hyderabad, India. The study covers the sensors from Aeroqual, SDS, Prana Air and SPS PM2.5. It finds that these new, low-cost PM sensors can track particulate matter levels. But they do still need calibration to give a better result.
