MPCB Guidelines RMC Plants

The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board, working with the State Government, has issued guidelines on where Ready Mix Concrete Plants (RMC) may be sited in the state of Maharashtra. Guidelines for RMC Plants in Maharashtra, India

The unit must monitor the ambient air quality at the boundary of its plot.
The ambient air quality standards must be met as a 24-hour average.
The highest allowed level of Particulate Matter (PM10) in the air is 100 μg/m³.
The highest allowed level of Particulate Matter (PM2.5) in the air is 60 μg/m³.
Commercial plants must install a CAAQMS within their own premises.
Captive plants must monitor ambient air quality twice a week, for 24 hours each time.
Ready mix concrete units must comply with the provisions of the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rule 2000 to control noise pollution.
