Frequently Asked Questions
Available for six Maruti Suzuki models — Alto, Swift, Swift (2015–2017), Brezza, Ciaz, and Ertiga. The 2015–17 Swift and the current Swift use different housing sizes, which is why they are listed separately. Select your exact model and year at checkout, as this matters most for Swift owners, so they avoid ordering the wrong unit.
There is no fixed schedule, as it depends on how often you drive and the air quality in your area. Maruti models are among India's most-used daily cars, which means higher filter loads in polluted cities. Place a Prana Air monitor inside the cabin with the AC running, and when PM2.5 stays high, the filter needs replacing.
The main signs are reduced airflow, a musty smell from the vents, and slower windshield defogging. Reduced airflow is easiest to notice in the compact Alto and Swift, while in the Ertiga and Brezza, a clogged filter can also make the AC take longer to cool the cabin. The Prana Air filter is rated up to 99% efficiency against PM2.5, so measure the cabin reading before and after with a pm2.5 air quality monitor to confirm real-world performance.
Yes. Maruti's factory filters cover basic dust filtration, but they have no activated carbon layer, which is a standard gap across the lineup. So exhaust fumes, two-wheeler emissions, and traffic VOCs pass through into the cabin unfiltered. The Prana Air filter adds HEPA-grade particle media plus an activated carbon layer, which tackles both particle and gaseous pollution at a similar replacement cost.
Yes — Maruti models are among the easiest to service at home. On the Swift, Brezza, Ciaz, and Ertiga, press the glove box side tabs and lower the compartment fully, and the filter then slides straight out. The Alto works the same way, with minor differences by year. Insert the Prana Air filter with the airflow arrow pointing toward the blower. No tools needed, and it takes 5–10 minutes.
The filter is a consumable, so it does not carry a performance warranty, as its lifespan depends on how often you drive and on local air quality. However, if your filter arrives with a fitting issue or any physical damage, we will replace the unit at no charge. Please inspect it when it arrives and contact us right away if there is any concern.
There is a slight drop in airflow due to the high-efficiency filter media inside, but we have designed this filter to strike the best balance between maximum air purification and steady AC/heater performance.
