Air PollutionUse Air Purifiers

Last month we did an outdoor promotional event at the World Environmental Expo 2019, in Pragati Maidan. During the event, a lot of people asked us about what is the best way to use air purifiers. That is why in this blog today, we discuss how you can use air purifiers to beat indoor air pollution.

Before you go ahead and purchase an air purifier, you need to first be sure where you need to place it. Finding an ideal location for your air purifier, so it could perform at its best – may seem a little difficult than what you had in mind. However, consider yourself lucky because, at home or office space, you can install air purifier that is a perfect spot for them.

Here are some best locations you can use air purifiers for:

Place it near the source

If you have a smoker in the house or can’t identify the foul funky smell around the kitchen space, it is best the place to use air purifiers. Often time, people place the air purifier away from the pollutant source and expect a quick result. However, purifiers don’t work like that. Every room needs a separate room air purifier so they could work on the indoor pollutants. The closer you keep the air purifier to the contaminants, the faster it works on trapping the particles. Use air purifiers in your bedroom space, kitchen area, bathroom, etc.

Ignore the corners, please

It is important to choose a location that is in an open space. It is also advised that do not place the air purifier behind the furniture or shelves. The important factor to place the air purifier is to keep a few feet of clearance at the top, front and sides for optimal efficiency.

use of air purifiers

No to the electronic neighbors

A lot of electronics run on more or less same wavelengths like air purifiers, these can, however, cause interference in the functioning of the air cleaners. Although, smaller appliances will do no harm but avoid placing air purifiers near the television, microwaves, or any other electronic appliances.

Closed confined place

Do you know air purifiers are most effective when you close the door and windows of your room? This way air purifiers clean the air in the room without any interference posed by additional indoor air pollutants. Air purifiers are most effective when all the doors and windows are shut. This allows for the air purifier to clean the air in the room without interference from hallways or other rooms. Since air will flow wherever there is an opening, the air purifier will try to pull in air from outside if doors are not fully closed.
