The Science of NDIR Detection
How does our sensor manage to take lab-grade CO2 readings?
Prana Air sensor systems are built on NDIR technology, an optical method that detects gas molecules by measuring how much infrared light they absorb, making it highly specific to CO2.

Why is CO2 Monitoring So Important?
CO2 is a natural byproduct of human breathing. In closed, crowded, or poorly ventilated rooms, the levels can rise quickly. Outdoor air is around 400 PPM, but indoor air can reach unsafe levels without proper checks and air exchange.

Data Visualisation Analysis
Hourly Carbon Dioxide Level Changes
See how CO2 levels (PPM) go up and down through the day, so you can better manage your ventilation. Spotting the pollution peaks helps you keep a healthier indoor climate.

Weekly CO2 Data Insights
Our sensor gives you full weekly data. It shows how the number of people present affects air quality in schools and workspaces. Track these levels to help keep everyone safe.

The Value of Real-Time Tracking
Excess indoor CO2 often results in:

Lowered Alertness:
High gas levels can take a big toll on your mental clarity and how well you work.

Health Issues
Long-term exposure can harm your lungs and can also affect how well your brain works in general.

Occupant Discomfort
Poor air quality can leave people in the building feeling heavy, uneasy, and tired.
CO2 Levels: Air Quality Guidelines
The best levels for staying healthy, comfortable, and working at your best.
Slightly raised levels; we recommend more fresh air for sensitive people.
High CO2 can cause drowsiness, mild headaches, or a lack of focus.
Staying in this range for a long time can lead to clear physical discomfort.
Dangerous levels that need fresh air right away to prevent severe discomfort.
Critical gas levels; leave the area at once or start maximum ventilation right away.
Advanced Sensor Calibration Method
Our sensors use the industry-standard zero-point calibration method. This process sets a baseline of 400 PPM over a 96-hour (4-day) cycle. That keeps the data precise and reliable over the long term.
Versatile Uses of the CO2 Sensor
Key Sources of Carbon Dioxide
Man-Made Sources

Burning fossil fuels in cars, trucks, and aeroplanes.

Open-air burning of farm waste and household waste.

Factories and power plants that rely on burning fuels.

Indoor air pollution caused by tobacco smoking.
Natural Events

Carbonate rocks releasing gas when in contact with water.

Huge releases of greenhouse gases during eruptions.

Gases released from melting ice and glaciers.

Natural gas and petroleum trapped within the Earth's crust.
